For hospitals and crawlers

MRF Preflight operates an automated crawler, MRFPreflightBot/1.0, that discovers and validates publicly available hospital price transparency files (machine-readable files required under 45 CFR Part 180) via each hospital's cms-hpt.txt file. This is the same public discovery mechanism CMS itself specifies for the regulation.

The crawler respects robots.txt, identifies itself honestly, and rate-limits requests per host. It does not attempt to bypass authentication, CAPTCHAs, or any other access control.

If you are a hospital and would like your file excluded from our public scorecard directory, email disputes@mrfpreflight.com. We will mark your listing as excluded on request. You can also claim your hospital's scorecard to get private findings and re-scan on demand.
