MRF Preflight is an advisory tool. It performs automated, point-in-time analysis of publicly available hospital price transparency files against CMS schema v3.0 and CMS's hospital price transparency regulation (45 CFR Part 180). It does not constitute legal advice, and no result from this tool guarantees any outcome with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or any other regulator.

Verdicts are reported as valid, has warnings, has blockers, unreachable, or not found. MRF Preflight never characterizes a finding as a violation of law or a statement of non-compliance. Findings are advisory and disputable; hospitals may re-scan a file at any time to reflect a fix, and may request exclusion from our public crawl by contacting disputes@mrfpreflight.com.

We process only publicly available files and business contact information. We do not accept or process protected health information (ePHI) of any kind, and any attempt to upload remittance or claims data will be rejected.
